Can You Drive an Aston Martin in Rocket League?

Aston Martin is one of the most iconic cars in history. Everyone would be happy if they ever had the opportunity to have one in their own garage or even just take it for a spin. Unfortunately, since it is extremely expensive and luxurious, most people will never have that opportunity. Unless, of course, they play Rocket League.

So let’s talk about whether you can actually drive an Aston Martin in Rocket League.

Why is Aston Martin so iconic?

Aston Martin is a British car brand that has been making cars for more than 100 years. It was founded by two men, Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford around 1913. However, it wasn’t until the 1940s that it gained notoriety in the luxury space, as it began producing so-called grand touring cars, which are cars designed for long-distance, high-speed rides. It evolved into the equivalent of industry icons such as Ferrari and Mercedes Benz. Two decades later, another breakthrough occurred for the British giant, namely, the most famous secret agent began driving one of their cars.

Aston Martin DB5 and James Bond

James Bond is the most famous spy in the history of the world. He was the main character of countless novels, stories and, of course, classic movies. The part has been played by 11 different actors at this point, including the legendary Pierce Brosnan, Sean Connery, and most recently Daniel Craig. There isn’t a single person in the world who hasn’t at least heard of James Bond and his secret missions, making him a huge part of British culture. Given that, it only made sense for him to drive a very luxurious and BRITISH car.

In 1964, when the third installment of the James Bond series was being filmed, its creators decided to team up with Aston Martin and include an Aston Martin DB5 in the movie. Since then, these cars have become an integral part of the plot, and people could not imagine the spy driving any other vehicle.

The latest installment in the film series, “No Time to Die,” featured an Aston Martin Superleggar and was driven by Daniel Craig.

Aston Martin and Rocket League

As we mentioned above, thanks to Rocket League, players can drive an Aston Martin, even if only in-game.

Epic Games actually collaborated with the iconic film series to bring Aston Martin 007 into its garage and arenas. The developer wanted to give users the opportunity to feel like the most famous secret agent in the history of the world, and thus the Aston Martin DB5 007 Bundle was announced in July 2021.

The 007’s Aston Martin DB5 Bundle

The first-ever collaboration between Rocket League and James Bond took place in mid-2021, when Epic Games announced that it would introduce a new set called 007’s Aston Martin DB5 Bundle to the Item Store. It was to cost 1,100 Credits and included limited edition items.

These included:

  • 007’s Aston Martin DB5 Bundle Car Body
  • 007’s Aston Martin DB5: Reel Life Decal
  • 007’s Aston Martin DB5 Wheels
  • 007’s Aston Martin DB5 Paint Finish
  • 007’s Aston Martin DB5 Engine Audio

The Aston Martin DB5 could not be combined with items other than those included in the bundle.

As for the bundle, it was available for a week between July 29 and August 4, but returned to the Item Shop a few months later with the release of another James Bond DLC.

The 007’s Aston Martin Valhalla Bundle

Since the first partnership was really successful and users loved it, Rocket League followed up and just a few months later released another bundle with the iconic James Bond theme. This was The 007’s Aston Martin Valhalla Bundle, which hit the Item Shop on October 7 and also cost 1,100 Credits.

The bundle included the following items:

  • 007’s Aston Martin Valhalla Car Body
  • 007’s Aston Martin Valhalla: Reel Life Decal
  • 007’s Aston Martin Valhalla Wheels
  • 007’s Aston Martin Valhalla Engine Audio

For only 900 Credits more, players could purchase the Bond 007 Collection Bundle, which included items from both DLC add-ons.

The 007’s Aston Martin DBS Bundle

In July 2022, Epic Games announced another collaboration with James Bond, namely The 007’s Aston Martin DBS Bundle. It became available on July 13 and, like the previous DLC, was priced at 1,100 Credits.

The bundle included the following items:

  • 007’s Aston Martin DBS Car Body
  • 007’s Aston Martin DBS: Reel Life Decal
  • 007’s Aston Martin DBS Wheels
  • 007’s Aston Martin DBS Player Banner
  • 007’s Aston Martin DBS Engine Audio

The 007’s Aston Martin DBS Bundle was available for almost a week and left the Item Shop on July 19.

Will There Be More James Bond Bundles?

While nothing definite has been said about a possible future collaboration between Epic Games and James Bond, the trailer and promotional content of the latest pack may suggest that more DLC is in the pipeline. After all, both brands have been hugely successful, and it would be a shame to stop releasing content now that the James Bond movies are still coming out and Rocket League is at its peak. Who wouldn’t want to drive the car of Britain’s favorite spy?

Conclusion

Rocket League has made many successful collaborations over the years, and the James Bond bundles are only a small part of them. Unfortunately, they are all limited-edition content that cannot be purchased at all times but keep in mind that you can always come across great items at low prices at RL.Exchange.
